Progress

Progress

The colors on the lungs are this odd color because I wanted them to stand out against the dark background that I was planning on using. I made them the color that I thought was closest to the color of real lungs then I inverted them. The heart has a lot of color detail up close.

I also wanted to clarify that I chose this because I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. I have an attack usually once a month or more depending on my anxiety level. The brain tells your body its having a heart attack, but really its not. That's why your heart rate speeds up, chest pains happen, and you can barely breathe. There is a lot of shaking involved and afterwards, the body tends to be sore and drained. I've had panic attacks last for days before, so it can be an event that lasts a few minutes to a couple of days.

Project 5 Artist Statement and idea imagery

Artist Statement

For this open ended piece I want to construct a visual that represents feeling. To be exact, what it feels like to suffer from panic attacks. Feelings are hard to describe with language, imagery, and sound so I would like to take on the challenge of creating an image that describes that feeling.
